How to Convert an Image to a CNC-Ready DXF
From a photo or drawing to a clean, machine-ready DXF in under a minute.
Quick start
- Upload a PNG/JPG (drag & drop, browse, or paste with
Ctrl+V), or click a sample. - Pick a tracing mode. Line Art for drawings and embroidery, Perfect Round CAD or B&W Relief for carved doors, Silhouette for stencils.
- Set the real size. Enter the target width in mm or inches; height follows the aspect ratio.
- Check the preview. Toggle the photo underlay and node view to inspect accuracy.
- Export DXF (R12 or R2000) or SVG and open it in your CAM software.
Which mode should I use?
Line Art / Embroidery
Single-stroke centerlines with true arcs and circles. Best for drawings, embroidery and scrollwork.
Perfect Round CAD
Smooth closed outlines with perfect circles. Best for relief doors and ornaments.
B&W 3D Relief
Reads heightmap-style carvings and separates outlines from engraved veins.
Silhouette & Stencil
Solid cut outlines with optional stencil bridges for floating islands.
Fretwork blueprints
Upload a full technical sheet. The tool finds the 2D panel automatically, ignores the title block, dimensions and 3D preview, and exports the outer rectangle plus every closed cutout at your chosen size.
Layers
CUT_OUTER– outer profile, cut last.CUT_INNER– holes and inner shapes, cut first.ENGRAVE– open score lines such as veins and flutes.
Tips for best results
- Use the highest-resolution source you have; clean black lines on white work best.
- Avoid heavy JPEG compression and shadows.
- Keep Background Removal off for drawings; turn it on only for messy photos.
